A Mommy's Job is Never Done!

As a Mommy, we have so many jobs to do, and they never end!

It's pretty exhausting when you sit and actually think about all the hats we wear!

Cook, maid, driver, nurse, psychologist, seamstress, personal shopper, secretary, financial advisor, event planner, organizer, travel agent, historian, tutor, teacher, nanny, pet care: and the list goes on and on.

Although we juggle many hats, we Mommas rarely complain. Its our job to do those things and most of all to love those little bundles of joy!

I am so blessed to have two beautiful girls as well as a wonderful husband!

I wouldn't trade any of my hats for anything!

I love my family!

Sarah got a little tired of hammering so mommy had to do most of the work while she laid there and watched.

The finished bird feeder, well, one of them anyway!

Sunday's In Our House

Sunday mornings are a little crazy in our house. This is the only day of the week that we have to get up by a certain time and actually get ready to go to church.

We have started going to a new church where the girls have an actual classroom to go to. I love this because they can actually learn about God instead of just playing while I am in church.

We have been having a few difficulties. My youngest, Sarah, is not liking going to class by herself. She has never been by herself doing anything. Guess that is one benefit and downfall, as I am discovering, of having an older sister so close in age.

Sarah is determined that she is NOT going to stay in her class. She lasts maybe 10 minutes and then they call me to come and get her because she is upset.

I have tried bribing her to stay, she even stayed in Savanah's class one Sunday. Nothing seems to be working. I do not know how to get her adjusted to being on her own. I know its going to take time, however if she does not stay in there, I do not think it's going to happen.

Any of you mothers out there have suggestions?

Fun, FREE, Activities for kids!

I have recently discovered the Lowe's Build and Grow workshops. Where have I been?

For those of you that are like me and do not know what this is, Lowe's Home Improvement has a workshop for kids every Saturday morning. Its FREE!!!!

The suggested age is usually like 5yrs old, I think, however I have taken my girls for the past two weeks and they did fine with help from mommy and daddy.
(My girls are 4yrs and almost 3yrs)

The first week that we went they made a baseball game. This was really exciting for them since they have never done any woodworking before and also because daddy plays ball.

Then last weekend the project was a See It Grow Flower box. This is really cute. After putting the boxes together, the girls were given dirt and tomato seeds to plant in their boxes.

We have now set the boxes on the deck so that the girls can keep a check on them. They were really excited because now they have their very on tomato garden.

Today's project is a bird feeder. My girls are excited to make this one because we have lots of bird feeders hanging around our yard so now they will have their own.

If you have a Lowe's Hardware near you and little ones, you should really check out the Build and Grow workshops. Add a little family time and best its FREE!

Time Flies When You'r Having Fun!

Have you ever heard the saying: "Time flies when you're having fun"?

Well, time really flies! In two weeks my baby girl will be 3 years old. I can not believe it has been 3 years already! Wow!

Invitations have been sent out now to get the decorations and other necessitates. When asked what she wants her birthday to be she says, "Blankie Birthday". She has this pink silky blanket that she has carried since she was a baby. For some reason she is set on having a "blankie birthday".

Hmm......lol, okay! How am I going to decorate for that one?!?!?

The guy that is making her cake is going to use a barbie doll and make her look as though she is covered w/ the pink blanket, so we are covered there.

Any suggestions on decorations? I am thinking I will just have to use the color scheme and go with it!

Thoughts????

Our Family Garden

My husband and I have been living in this house for going on 7 years and have only ever planted grass.

Finally this year we have started our very own garden. Yay! I am so excited!
This is a family project. Our girls really loved helping with the planting and now with the watering. We started the garden Easter weekend and already have plants coming up from our seeds we planted.

We did have a little mole decide he wanted to travel through and distroyed a few of our plants but we took care of him.

I love seeing the girls faces when we go out and there is a new plant growing. They are really excited because they helped plant everything. I can not wait until we actually get to start picking the vegetables that we grew.
The girls are REALLY going to love that!

Starting w/ New

Well, I decided that I should start a new blog for my family and personal writings.

I have been posting all on one blog however, its not exactly working since I have it set to age restricted for content. As many of you know, or maybe you don't, I am a romance consultant with Brown Bag Party. I blog about my business over at Bold and Beautiful Party Girl.

So, here I am with another blog! I just hope that I can actually keep up with posting on this one! Should be pretty easy since, there is ALWAYS something going on in this lil life of mine!

A bit about me:

I have been married to my wonderful hubby for almost 7 years now.
We have 2 beautiful girls: Savanah age 4 and Sarah (almost 3).
I am a SAHM/WAHM.

Okay, back to the everyday chores of being a mommy!

It's almost naptime!
