Wow! Its been a LONG While......

It has been 2 months since I last posted a blog.  WOW!   Sorry to those of you who are actually reading what I post.  Life has gotten crazy, or I just go lazy.  We are always running it seems, and my kids are not even in school!  I don't know how you moms that work and have kids in school and activities keep up.

Just an update, I am sad to say that once again I did not complete the Bible in 90 Day challenge.  :(  I am disappointed in myself.  I am however happy that I have read over half of the Bible!  I have learned a lot that I never knew and can't wait to finish reading.  I just didn't finish in the 90 days.

We made it through another softball season, yay!  My husband plays softball 3 nights a week, which is some of the reason we run so much.  But we are done for the winter.

My 4 year old has started a full dance class at the studio, two full classes actually.  She goes on Mondays and takes 45 minutes of Acro then goes straight to 30 minutes of Jazz.  She LOVES it!  It can get pricey but it is something that she really seems to enjoy so I am determined to keep her in it as long as she wants.

Now, we are looking forward to Thanksgiving coming up and of course my girls are ready for Christmas already.  They have already started their lists, at the beginning of October.  Everyday it seems they see an ad for some new toy and want that too.  I guess at this age (3 and 4) they want everything they see anyway.  Of course I am not really sure they ever grow out of that, lol.

I recently started teaching myself how to crochet.  This is something that I have wanted to do for a while just never took the time to try.  I have finally grasped the concept of making Granny Squares.  Now I have to figure out how to connect them altogether so that I have an afghan.  Wish me luck!  I will share pics when I have some.

Well, I guess this is it for now.  I am going to try to be better at posting more regularly.  I hope everyone is healthy and happy!  Until next time!

B90 Day Check In

Another check-in for the B90 Day Challenge.  I am still behind in my reading but I am catching up fast.  I have been reading extra to get myself caught up with the group.  I am learning so much about God and what he wants.  The main lesson that I am gaining from my reading is the same and has been from the beginning.  In the beginning I was thinking to myself that I was just not reading like I should or really thinking about what I was reading.  Well, then the more I thought about the lesson I was taking from my reading, I thought that must be what God wants me to get from it right now in my life!  I am really excited to finish this challenge with everyone and am already looking forward to the next time I read the entire Bible.  I wonder what lesson I will get from it then.  For now I am going to cherish the lesson and message I am getting now and implement it into my life!  Thanks so much for all the prayers and cheering on that you all have provided me!

Check in B90Days

I haven't checked in for a while.  Sorry about that.  Life has been busy and I fell behind in my reading.  Well, I used vacation week to catch up and I am actually a little ahead.  I am so pleased that I am caught up!  I am not going to let myself fall behind again.
Thanks for all the prayers!  I really appreciate everyone!  I can not wait to finish with the rest of the group this time!
Happy ready fellow B90 challengers!

Weekly Check-in B90days

This weekend was really busy and I fell behind in my reading!  I know that being busy is NOT an excuse.  I am going to work better to make the time to get my reading done.  I plan to be caught up by tonight so that I can join in on the Tweet up!

How is your reading going?

Bible in 90 Days Challenge Day 3

Well, so far the B90 Day challenge is going great!  I know its only day 3 but still, I am getting my reading completed and actually taking something out of it.
I will admit that I struggle with the names and keeping them straight as to who belongs with whom.  (I’ll eventually figure all that out, maybe the next go round.)
Out of the first three days of reading, the message that keeps standing out to me, as simplistic as it is, is one that we all are taught from the beginning.  The message that I am taking from my reading so far is that if you do what the Lord our God has planned for you to do, he will protect you and provide for you in every aspect of your life.
I know there is probably lots of deeper messages that I could be getting from the reading so far but this is what is truly standing out to me.

Throughout this 90 day challenge, I will continue to update my blog as to my reading and my success.  I will probably not post every day but I will at least post once a week.

If reading the Bible in 90 days is something that you are interested in, it’s not too late for you to join in on the challenge!  To join in on this awesome challenge click here.

I look forward to day 90 when I can post that I was successful in this challenge and that I gained a great knowledge of God’s word!

Until my next update,

Happy Reading!

May God bless you all!

Bible in 90 Days: I'm Taking the challenge!

Back in January, I started with a group of amazing people and Amy at Mom's Toolbox, in a challenge to read the entire Bible from cover to cover in 90 days.  Well, I didn't complete the challenge.  I let myself down!

Now there is another group taking the same challenge starting Monday, July 5th.  I am taking the challenge again!  This time, I will complete the challenge!

If you have never read the entire Bible or you would like to read it again, click here to get more details about joining in on the Bible in 90 Days challenge!  I would love to hear if you are joining in on this challenge with me!

Princess Dance Camp

Savanah and Sarah did a Mini Session back a few months ago at the local dance studio and
Savanah LOVED it!

They offered a week long summer camp called
Princess Camp
for ages 3-5 years old.

Each day of the camp they focused on a separate Disney Princess.

They started the day by reading the story of that Princess and then did crafts and learned different types of dance (Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Acrobats, etc.).  This was really cute!  They did a Hip Hop dance to a song that was to the tune of "Who Let The Dogs Out"  but the words were "Who Woke Snow White Up!"  Just really planned out and very exciting for the girls that attended, I know it was for Savanah!
To finish off the week they had a Princess Tea Party/ Royal Ball for the girls.  It was so cute!  They all got to dress up as their favorite princess, or just as a princess for those that didn't have costumes.  The girls really seemed to enjoy this.  They were each announced as they entered the room, just as you would be at a real royal ball!

Following are some pictures from the week.  I hope you enjoy!

30 Books of the Bible

A friend shared this with me and I am having trouble finding all 30.  I thought I would share here and see if anyone can find all 30 books!  Let me know if you do!!!!

There are 30 books of the Bible in this paragraph. Can you find them? This is a most remarkable puzzle. It was found by a gentleman in an airplane seat pocket, on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu, keeping him occupied for hours. He enjoyed it so much, he passed it on to some friends. One friend from Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat. Another friend studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Taylor, a columnist friend, was so intrigued by it she mentioned it in her weekly newspaper column. Another friend judges the job of solving this puzzle so involving, she brews a cup of tea to help her nerves. There will be some names that are really easy to spot. That’s a fact. Some people, however, will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. Truthfully, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it usually takes a minister or a scholar to see some of them at the worst. Research has shown that something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have in seeing the books in this paragraph. During a recent fund raising event, which featured this puzzle, the Alpha Delta Phi lemonade booth set a new record. The local paper, the Chronicle, surveyed over 200 patrons who reported that this puzzle was one of the most difficult they had ever seen. As Daniel Humana humbly puts it, “The books are all right there in plain view hidden from sight.” Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown. One revelation that may help is that books like Timothy and Samuel occur without their numbers. And punctuation or spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete really well against those who claim to know the answers. Remember, there is no need for a mad exodus; there really are 30 books of the Bible lurking somewhere in this paragraph waiting to be found. God Bless.

For the Stay At Home Moms

Just some pictures and cartoons that I found and thought I would share!

Engagement Party

What do you thing of when you hear engagement party?  Well, my family attended my friend's engagement party this weekend and it was AWESOME!!  It was a lot of work getting it going and making sure everything fell into place but the end result was well worth it.

She had The Pizazz Band come and preform.

This was the first time I had seen them preform except on videos and they were GREAT!!!

Savanah had a ball!  She started dancing soon after the band started playing and she didn't stop until they stopped singing.  They even let her get up on stage and dance with them.

This party was a luau theme so there was a contest for the best dressed outfit.  Savanah waited until the contest started to say she wanted to go up there so I threw her on an outfit and ran up on stage with her.  She ended up winning.  She was so excited!

We all had a great night with family and friends!  I am so glad that the engagement party was such a success!

Playing w/ My New Camera

I have been wanting a new camera for a while now.  A good camera, not just one of those little cheaper ones.  I finally got me a Nikon L110.  I have been playing around with it.  It takes such clear pictures.  I can not wait to get some developed so that I can see what they really look like.  Here are some of the kids that I have taken.

Build and Grow Clinic from Saturday

Here are some pictures from Saturday's Lowe's Build and Grow Clinic.  The kids made a Catapult.
Its really cute, but was a headache to make!

Our Garden This Week

Well, this is a little late but...
When we went out to check the garden on Sunday, we had yellow squash and more zucchini.

Our plants are growing really big!

The corn has shot up, its about 3 feet tall now.  The tomato plants are getting really big and have small tomatoes on them.  The squash and zucchini plants are so big they are taking over the pepper plants.  I hope the peppers still grow.

The girls were excited that we got more stuff from our garden.  They were really excited about how BIG the zucchini was.

We picked most of the stuff that needed picking and brought it in.  Guess we will be having squash and zucchini for supper soon!

Party, Party, Party......

Do you like to host parties?  Attend Parties?  I am talking about Direct Sales Parties.  There are so many to chose from.  You have Pampered Chef, Discovery Toys, Tupperware, Lia Sophia, Mary Kay, and the list goes on and on.

I love getting FREE stuff!  That is my favorite part of hosting a direct sales party.  I do not, however like the cleaning up before hand and then afterwards.  I guess I don't like the work that goes along with it.

My reasoning for my post is because I want to know, What is your favorite DS company and why????
I LOVE Pampered Chef because I love to cook and they have some awesome cooking essentials and also some great cookbooks!

Tonight I am going to a Tupperware party.  I have not been to one of these in a while so this will be fun!  I am looking forward to this.

I can't wait to hear what you all like about each of the many DS companies out there.

A Healthy Snack

My girls really enjoy helping out in the kitchen.  They really like when they can do something by themselves.  I decided to introduce a healthy snack that the girls can make themselves.
Bugs on a Log!
(celery, peanut butter, & raisins)

Savanah was able to stand on a stool and make the snack herself.
She even asked to make more today.

I love that they like healthy snacks rather then just the junk food that most kids eat.
